Manganese – Is a solid brittle grey polyvalent metallic element that is not magnetic and it resembles iron. It is used in making steel and occurs in numerous minerals. Manganese is designated by the symbol Mn. It has the atomic number 25. It is found as a trace mineral that is described as a free element in nature (often in combination with iron), and in many minerals.
