Drilling and Blasting, Load and Haul

Drilling and Blasting, Load and Haul- operate mobile drilling machines to bore holes for blasting in open-pit mines or quarries. Both drilling and blasting activities are performed by the driller. Usually reports to Drill manager. Load and Haul workers are responsible for the blasted minerals which are then moved with big machines and other heavy duty equipment. The job carries a fair share of possible danger, and for this reason one needs to adhere to strict safety procedures.
