Procurement Manager/Buyer - Northern Cape

Salary: R500 000 Per Annum
Start: June 2012
Our client is a substantial mining house, with operations in the Northern Cape and Gauteng. Reporting to the financial manager, you would take responsibility for the business' procurement function, specifically:
- Ensuring cost effective procurement of goods and services
- Procurement of contracts for scarce and specialised items
- Scheduling of goods and services delivery
- Handling of tender processes
- Development and maintenance of a procurement reporting system
- Ensuring contractor/service provider compliance with company operating procedures
- Monitoring quality of goods and services delivered
- Supervision of laundry and cleaning services including on-site staff
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification (eg. B.Comm with procurement or purchasing), have a proven track record in a similar function, and experience of managing subordinates.
