Cost Accountant - Johannesburg

A leading mining house requires the above to join their corporate head office in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Senior Cost Accountant, your duties will include:
Monthly preparation of cost reporting for the Africa region - overhead expenditure, and variance analysis thereon
Annual budget - liaising with area heads to obtain input for the consolidated operational budget
Shared services - cost recovery allocations with regards to technical services and capital costs in a multi-site environment
Record keeping - service level agreements, third party contractual agreements, and staff requisition requests
Taxation - collaborating with the corporate tax department with regard to transfer pricing issues and SARS/SARB compliance
Administration of general journal processing and other accounting issues
Reviewing of cost allocations, contract and purchase order follow ups with procurement, handling of general enquiries, and cost code maintenance
You will hold a B.Com (Hons) degree or similar, have at least three years working experience within a finance environment, with specific exposure to month end reporting, budgeting, shared service agreements and general principles of taxation.
