Overview

In the Central African mining industry, the Democratic Republic of Congo is on the forefront and this is mainly due to its political stability and geography. The DRC there has an estimated US$24 trillion worth of untapped mineral treasure. Diamond production is eminent in the Central African Republic and Gabon is a global producer of manganese. Equatorial Guinea is set to become the world’s third largest bauxite producer by 2015. Cameroon and Chad have undeveloped bauxite and gold deposits that not been extensively explored.
